The Minigon book series, illustrated by Erdil Yaşaroğlu, is taught as a coursebook in colleges and private schools. The series was digitised through a Creamobile-Macenta partnership and became the Minigon World platform.
The problem
Moving a printed educational series to digital is not a matter of putting pages on a screen. A series taught as a coursebook has to fit the teacher's curriculum flow, the student's own pace and the school's assessment needs at the same time. A book converted to PDF meets none of these — it only moves paper onto a screen.
The solution: from reading to building
Minigon World turns the child from a reader of the story into its author. The characters and world of the series were carried into the digital environment, and the child builds their own story inside that universe. The printed series stops being reading material and becomes a platform where something is made.
Another project from the same partnership: Macenta Training Akademi
Creamobile launched the Macenta Training Akademi portal for language instructors at Macenta Publishing & Media — one of Turkey's significant language publishers in English education — in 2014. The publisher ended up with two distinct digital faces: one facing students, the other facing instructors.
Why custom software
An off-the-shelf e-book or LMS platform is adequate for distributing content. What was being delivered here was not content but an environment where content is created: the story a child builds had to stay faithful to the series' own rules and characters. That is the work of a product, not a content management system.
